Personal Information and Data Protection

In order that we can properly assess your financial position and provide appropriate advice to you it is important that you provide us with full details of your circumstances and information as to the circumstances leading up to your present financial situation. We will keep confidential all information received from or about you. We will not pass your information to anyone else without your permission.

We will, as part of delivering our service to you, share all the data we hold about your financial situation with any third party that you have given consent to. An example of this is a referral to a licensed insolvency practitioner or a free monetary advice service such as the Money advice service (MAS) or the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB.) We will not share any information regarding you without your consent.


As a minimum, to assess your financial position, we will retain the following information:

  • Your personal details, a list of all your creditors, a financial statement setting out your Income and Expenditure, a list of all your assets and liabilities, your proposed monthly disposable income, your file notes detailing what has been discussed in regard to your financial situation.

We will ensure transparency, consistency and efficiency and we will collect personal information about you both directly from you and with your consent from your creditors and as authorised by your signed Client Authority Form. Consensually we may also utilise credit reference agencies.

We will use your personal information for us to provide appropriate advice to you, and in particular to:

  1. Assess your financial position and offer you unbiased, fair and transparent advice.
  2. To determine that any advice that is offered considers geographical location.
  3. Provide third parties, where you the customer has consented, with the relevant information for them to proceed with further advice.

Other than as set out above we will only disclose your personal information to the extent required by law, court order or as requested by other Government or law enforcement authority. We will not use your personal information to provide you with details of other products and services from third parties or further services from ourselves other that any services that you have sought from us.
